Norwegian law firm Simonsen Vogt Wiig is using Neota Logic’s platform to launch a range of self-service applications starting with the release of a dawn raid and GDPR application.
The Neota Logic platform and applications were implemented by Neota’s partner, Transform Data International.
Peter Van Dam, chief digital officer at Simonsen Vogt Wiig commented: “We wanted to find new ways to serve our clients as efficiently and effectively as possible. By having these applications available on our website, in our client portal and on the Simonsen Vogt Wiig mobile phone app, our clients will be able to access them at any time of day and night. By productising our legal knowledge in these applications, it also saves our lawyers more time to focus on higher priority work.
“We started by building the GDPR checklist and the dawn raid application, but we are also working on a more complex MiFID II and other regulatory and competition applications that will be released in the coming months. The real value, however, lies in the interaction with students form the universities of Bergen and Oslo, within and between practise areas and see how technology is being adapted in everyday processes. Neota Logic and Transform Data have helped us make these events successful and are planning more of these types of events with clients in 2020.”
Simonsen Vogt Wiig’s current applications built in Neota:
GDPR checklist
This application takes its clients through ten main questions to assess whether their client has a GDPR risk. Once they complete this application to ‘self-check’ their compliance it automatically generates a bespoke document that is sent to them.
Dawn Raid Application
This compliance tool gives Simonsen Vogt Wiig’s clients a digital instruction on the procedure they would need to follow if they incurred a dawn raid. In these type of events it is very useful to have this available on demand.
