Thirdfort has been named as one of the standout startups of 2019 after the Sunday Times asked a group of high profile entrepreneurs and investors including Richard Branson to name their startup of the year.
Alex Chesterman, who is founder of Lovefilm and Zoopla chose Perlego and onboarding app Thirdfort, commenting: “Another example of a business solving a real problem is Thirdfort. The process of buying or selling a home hasn’t changed for decased and carries increaingh risksfor lawyers around compliance and for consuers around fraud. Thirdfort tackles this with a mobile app, empowering lawyers to carry out checks with no need for physical documents. With a photo of the required documents and a selfie, Thirdfort carries out indentiy checks and anti moneylaundering checks.”
While Chesterman is an investor in Thirdfort and to that extent the publicity is self-serving, he has invested in multiple other companies.
Thirdfort was part of Mishcon de Reya’s incubator MDR LABs in 2018 and the law firm is also an investor.
