Bryter appoints new EMEA VP of sales

Bryter has appointed Christian Werling as its new EMEA Vice President of Sales. Based in Dusseldorf, Werling has over 20 years of experience in analytics, big data and fintech.

Werling joins from his role as regional director at MongoDB, the scalable document database platform. Prior to MongoDB, he spent over two years at ThoughtSpot, where we’re told he built teams across Europe and scaled revenue and employee numbers by rates of 150 to 250% per year. Before joining ThoughtSpot, Werling over a period of 15 years worked in roles at QLIK, BlueYonder and Treasury Intelligence Solutions.

Werling’s appointment by Bryter follows that of Eugene Shim, who joined Bryter as VP of Sales North America in April, as the ‘no code’ automation platform builds its business following its  $66m Series B funding round in that same month. Bryter says it plans to expand its sales team to almost 100 people by the end of the year.

Werling said: “When I first saw the Bryter product, I couldn’t believe how easy it makes it for literally anybody with business matter expertise to build automation apps on their own. The impact we can have on so many different industries across all business functions blows my mind. One of the things that made up my mind to join Bryter was talking to a team from Germany, at the heart of Europe, that is combining a very strong focus on people with the ambitions and professionalism in sales that you would normally only see in Silicon Valley.”
