Shakespeare Martineau goes live on Peppermint CRM plus Introhive

UK top 100 law firm Shakespeare Martineau has gone live on Peppermint Technology’s Microsoft Dynamics 365-based client relationship management software, in conjunction with Introhive, we can reveal.

The national law firm began a process to introduce a heavyweight client engagement tool just before the UK went into lockdown in 2020 and the entire project has been delivered remotely.

Shakespeare Martineau ran a competitive RFP process over a six-month period, which included LexisNexis InterAction, selecting Peppermint in early Spring of 2021. As is becoming common, the firm launched in pilot with the business development and marketing teams, before rolling out Peppermint Client Engagement to 400 users across the firm. It has also invested in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Marketing.

At the beginning of the project, Shakespeare Martineau was still using Axxia as its practice management system, but it has since selected Aderant and is now building a new integration accordingly.

Peppermint Client Engagement helps firms to manage digital campaigns, events, and drive client listening programs. Introhive, meanwhile, ensures that data is kept up to date automatically, including scraping email signatures.

Speaking to Legal IT Insider, Peppermint’s chief sales and marketing officer Matt O’Callaghan said: “This was a big, transformational project and we met with the firm just before lockdown, so we had to do everything over Teams and using the Azure toolkit. The entire project, including training, was delivered remotely, which is a real testament to cloud software. It was also a really good project in terms of helping Shakespeare Martineau to execute on their modern vision as to how they want to get client information.”

The project was led by Ben Buckton, chief marketing & people officer at Shakespeare Martineau.

This is the latest in a series of UK top 100 wins for Peppermint, and the latest for the Peppermint/Introhive combination. As we first revealed at the beginning of February, UK top 100 law firm Kingsley Napley has selected both Peppermint Engagement and Introhive, becoming (at the time) Peppermint’s 13th UK top 100 customer.
