UK litigation analytics vendor Solomonic this week launched what it says is the UK’s first analytics offering based on the claims, applications and petitions in the Company and Insolvency Court.
The module was developed in collaboration with leading insolvency firm Grant Thornton and insolvency chambers South Square. Input was also provided by litigation specialists, Stewarts.
The new offering covers analytics on close to a thousand insolvency judgments and has already ingested over 6,000 insolvency actions. Users can advise on claim prospects, application success statistics and close the knowledge gap between insolvency practitioners and the firms who appoint them.
Ian Richardson, insolvency and asset recovery director at Grant Thornton said: “We have been engaged with Solomonic on this project because we see the power of the data it can provide on what is happening in the market and the law firms acting in the space. The data is very valuable and timely.”
Edward Bird, Solomonic’s managing director, added: “This is a ground-breaking moment for Solomonic. The data and analytics from this Court isn’t just vital intelligence for lawyers, insolvency practitioners and litigation funders, it is also a powerful barometer for the state of our economy, and we are hugely excited about the analytics this data is going to produce.”
