BDO has promoted its chief information officer Stuart Walters to the partnership. Walters joined the global accountancy firm in 2017 from Olswang, where he was global IT director. Before that, he was UK CIO at Taylor Wessing.
During the last five and a half years, Walters has led a number of significant transformational technology projects including BDO’s merger with Moore Stephens LLP in 2019, and the firm’s shift to working fully-remotely at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. BDO says that Walters’ role as partner will see him focus on technology services, digital products and innovation. He also sits on BDO’s global IT committee.
Paul Eagland, BDO’s managing partner said: “Stuart has made a huge impact in his time at BDO as CIO. Technology and innovation will play a crucial role in the future growth of the firm as we continue to help our people and businesses succeed.”
