Matters.Cloud launches email filing and time capture Outlook integration

UK cloud-based practice and matter management vendor Matters.Cloud has launched a Microsoft Outlook integration that allows you to quickly save emails to the relevant client matter and capture time during the filing process.

Written using Outlook’s add-in framework, fee-earners can file emails to their matters across mobile, web and desktop. Filing is by prompt, where a fee-earner is presented with a list of recent matters, so they can tick the relevant one. A six-minute unit is automatically captured per email, to make it easier for fee-earners to track their billable hours and prevent time leakage.

Legal professionals can save their emails directly to document management systems including NetDocuments, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Matters.Cloud, founded in 2018, became a NetDocuments partner in March this year.

Fraser Mayfield, founder and CEO of Matters.Cloud, said: “Our goal is to provide lawyers and law firms with powerful tools that streamline their workflow and optimise their productivity. With this integration, legal professionals can now save time, reduce administration, and ensure that all billable hours are accurately captured, ultimately leading to improved efficiency and profitability.”
