NetDocuments sponsors The Say Gap

NetDocuments has sponsored The Say Gap, the only dedicated DEI conference in the legal sector.

The Say Gap is held over two days and will leave attendees with strategies to help create a more inclusive working environment (Day One) and enable female leaders to vocalise their business objectives (Day Two).

We are grateful to NetDocuments for their support in delivering this important initiative.

Day One, 29 October

Join Claire Sanders, former general counsel at Huel and co-founder of Being Human Consulting Ltd, who will lead an active session on psychological safety and ways to foster creativity, inclusivity, and connection in the workplace.

Trevor D Sterling, who in 2021 became the first black senior partner of a top 100 law firm at Moore Barlow, will join us for a fireside chat about his experiences and reflections of climbing the ladder in the legal industry.

We will be reflecting on DEI challenges and deliverables in a Chatham House panel with industry pioneers Sharon Thomas, founder & MD of Black Counsel Forum; Feargus M., co-founder & CSO at Definely; Janice D. Costa, legal ops manager at EMEA, Meta; and Jeffrey Shapiro, director of forensic and integrity services at EY.

And an interactive learning session with Manu Kanwar and Denis Potemkin from LexSolutions will take us through practical steps for collaboration and innovative problem-solving to overcome racial diversity challenges with immediate action steps and long-term strategies.

Day Two, 30 October

Day two will see the return of the brilliant Sarah Lloyd Hughes from Ginger Leadership Communications, as we teach women how to tell stories for maximum business impact.

A panel of female leaders will discuss their own experiences of making their voices heard – we will hear from Dana Denis-Smith, founder of Obelisk; Claire Sanders, former GC and co-founder of Being Human Consultancy; and Briana McCrory, chief marketing officer of BigHand.

PLUS Frances Anderson, CEO of NetLaw Media will update us on the progress being made by DELTAS, which teaches young girls that they do have a voice and a role when it comes to careers in technology.

There is so much noise in the market right now that it is easy for your voice to be lost. How do we communicate in a way that ensures our message is heard? We will be giving you strategies to ensure that your messaging is not only lost, but has maximum impact.
