Singapore-headquartered SaaS legal practice management system provider Tessaract has won four new UK law firms clients, with Asserson, Bellevue Law, Jacklyn Dawson Solicitors and Tatham & Co joining its roster.
Founded in 2018 by CEO Cherilyn Tan, Tessaract is making headway replacing on premises legacy PMS systems for small and medium sized law firms. It provides client onboarding, matter management, integrated accounting and automation within the platform.
Asserson launched in 2005 to provide UK legal services from an offshore location, in Israel. It is headquartered in London, but its largest office is in Tel Aviv. Bellevue Law is a London disputes boutique that notably attracts ex-City lawyers with its flexible working policy. Jacklyn Dawson is a long-established Newport, Wales law firm made up of four partners and 12 solicitors plus support staff, which provides a wide range of business advice. And Tatham & Co is a maritime and commercial law firm based in London.
Mike Hinchliffe, managing director at Tessaract said: “It’s notable that these firms are each from different practice areas, from shipping, through employment and onto international corporate / commercial and full service B2C law. This highlights the flexibility and broad appeal of our software to law firms. Our ability to operate internationally and in multiple currencies was a deciding factor for two of these firms, while for all of them the strength of our accounting systems was critical.”
Other UK clients include London litigation boutique Candey and alternative business structure Conexus Law.
Liz Simon, practice manager and head of finance at Jacklyn Dawson, said: “The biggest driver for us choosing Tessaract is the platform being cloud-native – built in the cloud for the cloud, rather than simply cloud-based. We are future-proofing the business and we benefit from the associated security, scalability, and flexibility. Equally important is Tessaract’s integrated accounting system, which is extremely comprehensive and seamlessly connects all matter information, meaning we can surface useful data in a way that best supports the business. Having looked at several options, Tessaract and the people there impressed the most, and we’re looking forward to implementing the system across the firm.”
