The British Computer Society (BCS) has appointed GenAI software specialist Panoram to help its legal department reduce its administrative workload, including automating manual contract creation processes and creating a streamlined system for contract tracking and service management.
Panoram was founded in 2020 by Rick Seabrook and Greg Wildisen, who are both former senior executives of Neota Logic. In January 2024 they launched a Microsoft 365 contract lifecycle management application. In December last year, they launched a multi-model GenAI document review and data analysis platform that transforms document review at scale, including eDiscovery, due diligence and cyber breach processes. Their mission is to deliver GenAI solutions inside M365 and Teams, where lawyers work.
BCS, a professional body with over 70,000 members in 150 countries, has deployed Panoram’s CLM and service manager tools and the group legal team can now create standard contracts for immediate sharing with third parties, leading to faster turnaround times and improved business operations.
Panoram has introduced a structured workflow for contract creation, approval and workflow. Departments across the organisation can also now track the progress of their request from start to finish, enabling them to better understand the legal progress and eliminating the need for constant contact with the legal team.
Shelley Decker, head of legal and compliance, BCS said: “The software has not only automated essential processes removing burdensome administrative work, but also allowed business units to function autonomously, significantly improving overall productivity and freeing up the time of the legal team to better focus their efforts on matters of higher risk and higher value.”
The BCS is a charity with a mission to advance computing and IT, and this will be seen as a significant win for Panoram.
Wildisen said: “It’s a privilege to be selected by the British Computer Society; a prestigious organisation with 67 years of industry experience in information technology with over 70,000 members in 150 countries. Our partnership has led to significant benefits for BCS, improving efficiencies and alleviating pressure on critical team members – enabling them to allocate their time on important areas across the business.”
