Aderant Launches Cloud AR and GL plus Stridyn Analytics and askMADDI

Aderant at its Momentum conference in Texas today (20 May) announced the launch of a raft of new products including Cloud Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cloud General Ledger (GL), which are available to customers in Expert Sierra. It also announced the release of Stridyn Analytics and askMADDI, a new chatbot powered by AI assistant MADDI.

The AR solution, which streamlines end-to-end cash receipting and is powered by Aderant’s AI virtual associate MADDI, automates invoice matching, eliminates manual remittance handling, and reduces paper use.

The cloud-based general ledger, meanwhile, is now integrated with MADDI to deliver next-gen insights and automation to query and filter information.

Stridyn Analytics, a new capability within the Stridyn platform, provides AI-powered analytics, natural language queries, and customizable dashboards, meaning users can more easily access and act on key information, with no technical expertise required. Stridyn is the one stop shop where users can launch their applications, including the new GL and AR applications. Speaking to journalists ahead of the launch, president and CEO Chris Cartrett said: “Our clients only have to suck in air and receive the new GL and AR and start to leverage AI across all their applications.”

askMADDI delivers a Natural Language Query (NLQ) experience, enabling users to access and understand data across integrated Aderant cloud applications.

Cartrett said: “When we look back at 2024, it was a pretty special year inside Aderant. It was actually the largest growth year in the history of our business, which is saying something for what’s happened over the past several years.”

He added: “As wonderful as that’s been to have more law firms join the Aderant fold, my focus for this whole week [of Momentum], though, is actually the changing landscape that’s taken place inside legal tech. Traditionally, legal technology companies have served their clients, and the needs of our firms have changed dramatically. For some of the conversations in the past, probably the biggest shift that’s happened since the 2019 era through COVID into these last few years has been how the lawyers and the firms themselves are actually more engaged with the applications, probably more than ever before. Because of that, and our breadth of products, from work to cash and handling all the talent that manages that, it’s really a time for us to kind of reflect on how we serve our clients.”

Chief client officer Josiah Chaves said that Aderant has been focused hard on work to cash, and this year will see the release of new premium capabilities in the iTimekeep application, focused on AI narrative generation and AI code generation. This will be in early adopter mode. There will also be new capabilities that are focused on international firms, enabling them to use BillBlast as “a central pane of glass” for all their global tax compliance requirements when it comes to invoicing and international mandates.

“Aderant is laser focused on delivering an unmatched client experience, and the launch of these new cloud-based financial management applications at 2025 Global Momentum will continue to raise the bar,” said Cartrett.
