Legal AI platform Jylo today (4 July) announced an enterprise rollout across the Council of Europe, a prestigious international organisation based in Strasbourg that was set up to promote human rights and the rule of law. It includes the European Court of Human Rights and oversees the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights. The contract is the result of a competitive process that looked and evaluated several suppliers of AI platforms.
Using Jylo, legal practice groups can create bespoke playbooks and templates to automate legal tasks. Jylo, which is often referred to as an ‘AI marketplace’, also provides secure document and team centric chat. The platform offers end-to-end API access and leverages the most effective large language models for the specific use case.
John Hunter (pictured above), CIO of the Council of Europe, said: “At the Council of Europe, our mission has always centered on advancing human rights, democracy, and the rule of law across the continent – including the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Partnering with Jylo represents a strategic alignment with this mission: Jylo’s commitment to regulatory compliance, security and their overall platform approach really sets them apart. Their deep understanding of the governance landscape and willingness to adapt to our evolving requirements made them the ideal partner for enabling AI innovation across our organisation.”
Alain Mielle, head of innovation for the Council of Europe, added: “Jylo’s platform will make a substantial impact on our day-to-day operations. The Assistant feature enables us to efficiently automate a wide variety of document-centric workflows, which is vital in an organisation handling extensive legal and policy documentation. We believe this platform will enable our staff members to work smarter and more effectively than ever before. Jylo’s adaptable platform, enhanced features and flexibility will empower our teams to effectively use AI directly in their daily tasks.”
This is a significant win for Jylo, which is already working with many law firms but also diversifying and winning business within government institutions and other verticals.
Shawn Curran, CEO of Jylo, said: “The Council of Europe’s team has demonstrated a clear and comprehensive AI strategy and as one of the organisations complying with European AI regulation, their insights have provided great learning opportunities for both the Jylo team and our product. This will benefit our broader international organisation and legal sector customers, and we are convinced that this partnership will further establish Jylo as one of the leading European AI vendors.”
