Aderant looks for new CTO

Aderant is looking for a new chief technology officer after the departure of Andy Hoyt. Hoyt joined Aderant in 2023 to oversee the global development team and develop Aderant’s roadmap, which has included the launch of its AI platform Stridyn. He has also been instrumental in Aderant’s SaaS drive, leading clients to question how roles will now be reallocated.

An Aderant spokesperson declined to comment on Hoyt’s departure itself but said that the company has strong leadership in place, telling Legal IT Insider: “Andy is no longer with Aderant and we cannot comment on personnel matters. But, nothing has changed. Lisa Erickson is the leader of our Stridyn platform and all products, and Cody Walker still runs the Development team leading this charge, plus Nicholas Wolter runs our AI team. We are searching for a new CTO, but are very happy with our current leadership in place. The results prove this out.”

Erickson is Aderant’s SVP of product management and AI. She joined from Veritas Technologies in January 2024. Walker was previously at NCR Corporation and before that IBM and joined Aderant in 2023. And Wolter was also at NCR and before that IBM, and joined Aderant in September 2024. [We corrected these dates, which in a stroke of genius previously said Erickson joined in 2025 and Wolter last year.]

We have reached out to Hoyt about his future plans.

Next week at its Momentum conference in Fort Lauderdale, Aderant will be announcing multiple product updates led by Erickson and Aderant’s chief client officer Josiah Chaves and we’ll keep you updated on that.
