This came in overnight… Allen & Overy’s new financial management system – Elite 3E – is now live for their entire global network. The new 3E system enables Allen & Overy to handle its matter inception, billing and management reporting far more effectively and will ensure consistent processes and controls throughout the firm. Allen & Overy is the largest international law firm to go into production on 3E to date. The firm has 31 offices in 22 countries and more than 5,000 employees.

Allen & Overy’s Group Finance Director Ian Dinwiddie said “This is a big change for the firm, delivered as the result of a close collaborative partnership between us and Elite, and one that I am very excited about. Moving to 3E is a major step, a bit like going from a tape recorder to an iPod. The new technology in 3E really opens up a whole new world of opportunities for us and will help to significantly reduce our costs.”

3E is expected to make a positive impact on the firm's profitability. “We have replaced Elite Enterprise and nine other local systems with a state-of-the-art practice management system which will support our entire global network and give us significant headroom for future growth,” said Wim Dejonghe, managing partner, Allen & Overy. “Importantly, it will also enable us to provide a much- improved service for clients, giving all our lawyers around the world instant access to the most up-to-date client information and billings.”

Implementations of Elite 3E are ongoing around the world with 5 firms going live on 3E in the past two months and more firms scheduled soon.
