Optus has made 56 positions redundant at Alphawest, its business and service provider division. The job losses are across all divisions, including commercial, sales & marketing and customer service and represemt about 2% of the combined workforce of Optus Business and Alphawest. The company describes the redundancies as “part of organisational changes aimed at introducing greater operational efficiencies, reducing duplication and removing functions that no longer support our key business objectives.”
