Asia-Pacific news round-up
Here's another round-up of APAC news featuring stories on both Elite and Aderant…
• New Zealand’s Crown Law Office Deploys Elite 3E
The New Zealand Crown Law Office has implemented Elite 3E as the platform for its new financial management system. Crown Law has more than 200 people on staff, half of whom are lawyers.
Based in Wellington, the office primarily practices public and
constitutional law as well as providing support for Crown Solicitors
that work on its behalf undertaking prosecutions.
“For our organisation, the deployment of Elite 3E means it’s about managing our work better as well as being in a position to prepare for the future growth of our firm,” said Diana Pryde, practice manager, Crown Law. “We expect 3E will help us more efficiently organise, track and manage the information we need, throughout the entire lifecycle of every matter. 3E, with its embedded business process automation and advanced reporting capabilities, will give us the technology to maintain our high ranking and extend our levels of customer satisfaction.”
“Crown Law’s successful implementation further solidifies Elite 3E as the new solution of choice for law firms globally, and is the first of several firms to ‘go live’ in the Asia Pacific region over the coming months,” said Kim Massana, senior vice president & general manager, Elite.
• Swerdlove gets excited – Aderant’s Golden Gate shows the way
Swerdlove, a specialist technology and business consultancy to professional services firms, has announced it is taking up the challenge of Aderant’s Golden Gate workflow solution. Swerdlove says it is particularly interested is the integration of a true workflow environment powered by Microsoft’s Windows Workflow Foundation. “While this has an obvious appeal for file opening applications, the ability to deliver a workflow model for other collaborative processes such as file closing, risk management, resource allocation and engagement opportunities will streamline firm costs and increase throughput.
“Aderant has done a remarkable job in its effort to provide a product which is feature rich and flexible. A standard workflow template is provided with the installation and is designed to address the major file opening activities that are necessary for most firms. Also included is a comprehensive set of tools which allow the addition, removal and scripting of tasks such that a firm can tailor the workflow to meet their specific file opening needs.”
