Fun yes – we definitely had a mobile phone like a brick, love it – but NetDocuments will quite fairly go bonkers at the suggestion that they moved to the cloud post 2015, when in fact they were founded in 1999 as a SaaS product long before the wider move towards web-based services.

DWF to spend "up to £10m" on IT systems post-float

Following the announcement on 8 February 2019 of its intention to proceed with an initial public offering DWF Group Limited today (11 March) announces the successful pricing of its shares, which will see it invest up to £10 million will be invested in additional IT systems, including a portion of that to contribute to the development of the group’s global platform for managed services.

Shawn Curran joins Travers as head of legal technology

HealthTrust Europe to create first-time ALSP panel

In what should serve as another enormous wake up call to traditional UK law firms, central purchasing body HealthTrust Europe is to put together a first-time panel of tech-led alternative legal service providers (ALSPs) from which the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust will be able to source legal services ranging from high volume, process orientated work to deep specialists. The value of the legal work that the Trust puts out to tender has been previously quoted as anything from £30m to £90m.

Orion Law Management to launch Orion 5 at ABA TECHSHOW in Chicago
