Here’s our 31st submission to the Legal Industry Video Awards. This has been entered by the Manchester-based marketing agency mmadigital, who specialise in online marketing services for modern law firms. Today – Monday 30th June – is the final day for entries to the Legal Industry Video Awards. You have until midnight tonight – which is about 14 hours away in the UK and 22 hours away in California. We’ve had a rush of entries over the weekend and we will be running the videos throughout July on this site.

Legal Industry Video Awards – Entry #28 – The MASS Effect

We are entering the final coundown for submissions, meanwhile here is our 28th submission to the Legal Industry Video Awards. This is the second entry from MASS the Motor Accident Solicitors Society and looks at the MASS AGM/Charity Dinner/Conference, the highlight of the MASS year. Jenny Braunton of MASS adds “Our video aims to demonstrate how we use this opportunity to inform, educate and engage our audience and to capture reactions from delegates as well as exhibitors/sponsors. It also shows us enjoying ourselves whilst raising money for and celebrating the work and achievements of our charity of the year.” Category 6 : Legal or Vendor Event Video of the Year Award – conferences, seminars, user-group meetings, speeches & keynotes – this category recognises the difficulties associated with capturing these events.

Something for the public holiday

It’s the old Whit Monday “bank holiday” in the UK and it’s Memorial Day in the US, so here by way of a little light relief is a funny video of some kids of today being totally thrown by yesterday’s computers. Highlights include “Where’s the mouse?” and the little girl tapping the CRT monitor in the hope it is a touch-screen device.

Here’s our 21st submission to the Legal Industry Video Awards. This has been entered by Peppermint Technology to document and promote the activities of the Peppermint Research Forum. For the third consecutive year, Peppermint commissioned a What clients really want from a legal service provider research project, collating the opinions of over 1000 private clients, 150 UK corporate clients and more than 150 law firms. The findings were presented at the Peppermint Research Forum. Friday Movie: Disruption in the Legal Industry flows from clients – UPDATED now Entry #13

Disruption, disruption, disruption everywhere. You can’t move these days without law firms and legal IT vendors talking about disruptive innovations however in this LexisNexis Business of Law white board video (which runs under five minutes) Christopher T. Anderson argues that “The debate misses the real point. Disruption does not come from industry. Disruption will not come from law firms. Disruption comes, and is already coming, from our customers.” Chris neatly sums it up in the last sentence “This is not the end of lawyers but it just might be the end of lawyering as we know it.”
