Chattertons Solicitors has launched SOS Connect across the entire firm as part of an ICT overhaul which will boost its performance in the new legal era. The firm, which has 190 staff in ten offices across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, provides a wide range of legal services to commercial and private clients.
Historically a user of the SOS practice management and accounts systems from Solicitors Own Software, Chattertons has now adopted SOS Connect firm-wide with document management, CRM and marketing, file opening and closing, email integration and time recording functions being rolled out to every department. Standard workflows have been created across the firm, alongside a tailored workflow solution for Chatterton’s employment team.
Liam Osborne, ICT manager at Chattertons, said a firm-wide review had established the need to consolidate multiple databases and achieve standardised working. “Having now adopted SOS Connect across every department, work-sharing between offices has become much easier, which is obviously good for productivity, and time leakage is being reduced,” he said.
“The CRM marketing module allows us to analyse sources of business and introductions, which is helping to create more relevant, targeted and effective marketing communications and client relationship management. It also provides the information we need to set marketing budgets and ensure they are targeted in the most effective way.
“We can also achieve seamless integration with accounts, which simplifies billing and improves management and performance reporting and are also working towards the introduction of online billing and online payment to clients. All of these changes mean the firm is now more agile and better equipped to navigate the new legal landscape.”
