Cheadle quits LexisNexis – ex Workshare CEO takes over

LexisNexis has just announced that Tim Cheadle has resigned as General Manager for Enterprise Solutions, the division responsible for the company’s legal practice management and case management systems in the UK. Tim joined LexisNexis UK in 2008 and initiated the development of the next generation Enterprise Solutions products including the partnership with Microsoft that underpins the new Nimbus legal ERP product designed to replace the company’s legacy Axxia technology.

Cheadle will be replaced by Alan Fraser, who is joining LexisNexis with immediate effect and will assume the position of General Manager for Enterprise Solutions, which includes the former Axxia and Visualfiles/Solicitec product suites. Fraser is a seasoned software and technology leader with experience in both multinationals and niche software vendors. As the CEO of Workshare, he developed first-hand experience in the legal market and he also ran Astoria Software, an innovative SaaS based document management player.

COMMENT: In a telephone conversation yesterday, Tim Cheadle told the Insider he was initialy taking some time out to spend with his young family but expected to return to the legal IT sector in due course. On the product development side, he said the LexisNexis user conference in November would see a progress report on the Microsoft AX Dynamics-based Nimbus system and that in October the company would be launching Streamline Matter Management.

For anyone who doesn’t know Alan Fraser his Linkedin profile will be enlightening.
