Brandsight, a provider of next-generation corporate domain management solutions, announced today it has hired Matt Serlin to lead Client Services and Domain Operations, and Elisa Cooper to lead Marketing and Policy.
Matt will be responsible for all domain operations, including client services and domain name provisioning. He has 15 years of direct domain name experience, most recently with MarkMonitor where he was instrumental in building the industry’s first dedicated client services team, which has become the de facto standard for all corporate registrars.
Over the years, Matt Serlin has been a pioneer in the domain industry, implementing the first instance of registry locking with Verisign, deploying two-factor authentication as a requirement for domain administrators, and acting as an outspoken advocate for brand owner rights. He has consulted with many of the world’s largest and most prominent domain portfolio owners to implement best practices, right-size holdings, and secure new assets in advance of product launches. As a former Chair of the ICANN Registrar’s Constituency, he assisted in drafting the 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement which provides rights owners with additional avenues for recourse in cases of domain name abuse.
With 20 years of marketing experience, Elisa Cooper will lead Brandsight’s marketing strategy and execution. Most recently, she led marketing for Lecorpio, a leading provider of IP management solutions which recently merged with Anaqua. Prior to Lecorpio, she served in various marketing and product management roles at MarkMonitor for over a dozen years, where she was instrumental in designing the company’s domain management portal, leading their new gTLD program, and creating their customer education and advocacy programs. As the former Chair of the ICANN Business Constituency, she has a deep understanding of the entire domain name ecosystem.
