Engagement/ Relationship Consultant, Permanent, £40,000 – £50,000 plus generous benefits, City of London
Engagement / Relationship Consultant with service management and law/legal (OR professional services) experience required to join a prestigious global firm, based in the City of London.
This newly established role will be responsible for ensuring that investment in IT is aligned closely to business requirements. Working closely with the Engagement Manager, the Engagement Consultant will liaise heavily with the department heads and other customers, acting as a regular point of contact after requirements have been captured. They will also be expected to build and develop strong relationships with customers and effectively communicate the engagement journey to them. This consultant will be liaising with the customer from initial requirements gathered through to the delivery stages and after care.
The role offers an attractive £40k-£50k plus generous benefits.
Proactively provide ideas to customers to help derive greater business benefit from the use of existing and new technologies
Provide an initial assessment on the viability and scale of specific customer requirements
Develop awareness of how the incumbent technology is used in the Practice/functions
Gather and agree customer requirements
Develop and deliver draft business cases with an accurate budgetary estimate
Ensure customers are aware of the process and their role
KEY SKILLS & BACKGROUND
Legal/law industry/professional services/consultancy experience
Experience of different platforms and applications – this is likely to be as a result of coming from a technical background but having moved into a more softer skill focused role
Understanding of the techniques of system development and service management disciplines
Understanding of the core concepts and key principles of system architectures
Experience of working in a customer/account management focussed role liaising with department heads and customers on a regular basis
Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior partners and sponsors
Strong interpersonal skills and gravitas
Responsible and able to take ownership of work requirements
Ideally ISEB certification in Business Analysis and/or Prince2
