English Bar Standards Board selects Thomson Reuters FloSuite to manage complaints
Thomson Reuters today announced that the Bar Standards Board (BSB), the body responsible for regulating barristers in England and Wales, has selected FloSuite Legal to help improve its system of tracking complaints and disciplinary findings. The BSB, which regulates more than 15,000 barristers, was seeking to implement a new case management system which will replace its existing custom built system used to track complaints and disciplinary findings about barristers.
The new case management system needed to exceed the functionality provided by the BSB’s current system, but place a particular emphasis on providing an enhanced user-friendly experience for the staff and improving overall efficiency. FloSuite legal’s case management system, FloCase, was chosen by the BSB at the end of a competitive bidding process.
A key factor in the decision to select FloSuite Legal was the solution’s flexible architecture, which can be configured to meet several distinct workflows that a complaint to the BSB can pass through; from preliminary assessment through to potential disciplinary action and the associated compliance management. In addition, the solution helps the BSB improve efficiency through the automation of key tasks, such as document assembly, and facilitates intelligent data collection for essential report generation and audit purposes.
