Financial Systems Analyst (9 months ftc) – Herbert Smith Freehills

The Role

The Financial Systems Analyst will provide operational support and development for existing financial systems (both practice management and management information) .

Key responsibilities

Providing support to the business on the firms Aderant Expert (Formerly CMS) Practice Management System
Customising Aderant Expert PMS using it’s inbuilt tools including, DBEditor, Forms Editor & Report Writer.
Help implement new Aderant Expert modules
Develop links to external systems.
Good understanding of the Aderant Expert database tables and linking, especially those relating to the financial transactions
Formulate Transaction SQL (Structured Query Language) scripts to help solve data related problems
Ability to edit Docudraft Bill templates would be advantageous
Liaising with Aderants Expert support team for support calls that cannot be dealt with in-house
Ensure overnight Expert processes have been successful and correct any problems encountered
Extracting financial data as a response to user requests;
Creating and Maintaining Financial reports using Transaction SQL & SQL Server Reporting Services

Job requirements

Qualifications required

No formal qualifications are needed however an accounting qualification or part qualification would be beneficial

Work based competencies

At least 3 years experience of Aderant CMS /Expert (strongly preferred) practice management system, but will consider applicants with more or less experience providing they can demonstrate the competencies outlined in this job description. Candidate should demonstrate potential or proven ability to work with colleagues and deliver outstanding service in a high-pressure environment.
Experience of a law firm, or of working in a professional services environment (e.g. consulting or accounting).
