This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a highly reputable, international law firm as a Global Information Architect. In line with the global IT plan, you will be responsible to deliver operational excellence and enable the use of technology for growth across the whole firm. You will also be responsible for defining IT governance and standards, as well as a roadmap for future technology adoption across the global firm.
The information architect will be accountable for creating and designing information architecture solutions in addition to offering expertise on Data Management capabilities. Additionally, they will be contributing to the development and governance of an Information Architecture Framework, best practices and processes to advance the analytics and Information Management maturity.
The role will entail but it not limited to the following:
Develop the information architecture strategy
Creating information architecture solutions in support of MDM, Data classification, Data Warehouse/Data Mart and reporting projects and initiatives
Developing standards, tools, best practice and development methodologies to enhance Data Governance
Developing and managing the architecture governance
Determining specifications, designs and development across complex and business critical solutions
Leading functional teams across various projects
Providing architectural support in resolving technical issues.
Technical skills/experience required:
Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse Architecture, Analytics design and implementation of large scale data systems
Experience working with Master Data Management, Data Quality and Metadata Management Platforms and processes
Enterprise architecture frameworks – TOGAF/FEA/Zachman
Experience designing and optimizing data integration architectures
Soft skills required:
Strong communicator – an ability to talk to non-techies and techies alike.
The most technical person in the world would not be right for this role unless they have the communication skills and business-savvy to succeed.
Inspirational personality – an ability to evangelise the standards & frameworks set
Flexible approach to working hours – there’s a need to dial in to teleconferences with other global locations
