IntApp Inc today announced that Hogan Lovells (which now has approximately 2500 lawyers, across 40 affiliated offices worldwide) has expanded its use of IntApp Integration Builder to streamline and accelerate the success of the recent combination between Hogan & Hartson and Lovells.

“We decided to partner with IntApp to address the data integration needs facing our growing business after evaluating several technology platforms, including software from vendors targeting corporate enterprise markets,” said Ian McFiggans, IT Director, Hogan Lovells International LLP. “IntApp Integration Builder distinguished itself from general purpose tools that require significant custom development because it’s designed specifically for law firms, with data architecture and application integration templates for standard legal applications and use cases.”

IntApp say Integration Builder provides a simple, straightforward way for law firms to connect, manage and automate their business applications and processes. It delivers real-time data communication without the cost, complexity and time required by custom code development. Enabling organisations to rapidly address common challenges including business intake, user provisioning and distribution list management, IntApp includes pre-built solution templates, best practices and access to an energetic, collaborative user community of IT professionals.

“Our IT team is focused on delivering increasing business value to our lawyers and staff by connecting key information and business processes across the combined organisation,” said Gary Abbott, Manager, Information Platform Team, Hogan Lovells International LLP . “We are using IntApp Integration Builder as the backbone of several strategic IT projects, including the creation of a Master Data Directory to centralise and standardise global reference and personnel data and to enable effective synchronisation of client, matter and financial information across key firm business applications.”

Built and updated using IntApp Integration Builder, a Master Data Directory (MDD) acts as a centralised repository of key data that is consumed by individuals and applications throughout a law firm. This architecture stores shared user, group, client and matter data in a single repository of record which is updated in real time. By using this approach, IT can deliver end users more accurate and timely information. Moreover, because it also reduces internal complexity and eliminates “many-to-many” data connections among firm applications, an MDD provides a foundation for IT to address a number of common business process challenges with greater speed and reduced resource requirements.

“We are pleased to support Hogan Lovells as they expand their use of IntApp Integration Builder to hasten the success of their recent combination,” said Kaye Sycamore, UK Managing Director, IntApp. “Integration Builder provides proven, unique capabilities for law firms seeking to grow through combination, expand internal efficiency or simplify complex IT environments.”
