IT Helpdesk Advisor, Support – Withy King

Purpose of the Role
Based in our flagship offices in Bath, the IT Helpdesk Analyst is the key contact for providing technical, helpdesk support across the whole Withy King business. You will also assist in the management of the company network, servers, intranet, FAQ system and eLearning portal. You will also oversee the work of a 1st Line Helpdesk Analyst.
Responsibilities of the Role
To be the primary contact for all support queries coming in via the Withy King Helpdesk software, working with the wider IT team. Assist with the queries as they come through. Escalate calls to other members of the IT Team as appropriate
Assist with network administration, including but not exclusively; keeping Anti-Virus software up to date, ensuring Windows Servers have appropriate updates applied, monitor server disc space, creation and management of user accounts, administration of VMWare infrastructure
Manage the IT FAQ system and Intranet pages and ensure content is kept fresh and new FAQs are added as required (with help from the IT team) and to update eLearning content with assistance from the IT Trainer
Deal with queries relating to video conferencing & other equipment used across the business
Assist the Head of IT & other members of the IT team with ad-hoc projects & tasks when necessary.
Some travelling to other offices may be required as part of this role.
Key Skills Required for the Role
Educated to A level standard (or equivalent). IT qualifications are highly desirable
Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk/ Support position, ideally within a multi-site environment.
Knowledge and experience of administering Windows AD
Helpful & understanding of internal client needs
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport on the telephone
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a pressurised environment and managing competing priorities
Enthusiastic, “can do” approach to work
Enjoys working in a team and adds value
