We have an exciting, new opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our IT team based in our Bristol office, on an initial 12 month FTC.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the IT Projects and Programme Manager, the main purpose of the role is to undertake business analysis and deliver appropriate client focussed IT projects, ensuring that appropriate project methodologies are followed and adhered to.

More specifically, you will draft and submit project proposals, and direct and manage IT projects through their full lifecycle. You will define the project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals, and develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

You will achieve these responsibilities whilst effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, as well as also liaising with all other project stakeholders on an on-going basis.

What we’re looking for

You will have a background in Project Management, or have Business Analysis or Project Management Office experience and be looking to take a step into a Project Management role. This experience will need to include all aspects of process development and execution.

You will also be qualified to at least Prince2 foundation or equivalent – qualification to Prince2 practitioner level or equivalent is desirable.

Also required:

Law Firm experience is preferable but if not, professional service and/or Partnership experience is essential
A good general knowledge of the IT sector
A full and complete understanding of the technical project life cycle to facilitate the rapid and effective deployment of technology based projects to the firm
Experience of managing a project portfolio (i.e. a small number of concurrent projects) is required
The ability and willingness to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential
Able to work autonomously and to schedule own resource appropriately
Actively promote savings wherever possible whether that is through resource management, appropriate selection of cost-effective solutions or process refinement
Highly self-motivated and proactive
Exceptional time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
