IT Support Analyst – Gardner Leader LLP
Gardner Leader LLP is a Berkshire based law firm with offices in Newbury, Thatcham & Maidenhead. Following sustained & continual growth over the last few years, we are looking for dynamic people with the right skill sets to join us on our journey.
We have a position within our IT Department as an IT Support Analyst based in Newbury or Maidenhead, offering support & training to our staff on a variety of different products including Microsoft Office (Primarily Word, Outlook & Excel 2013), Yammer, Digital Dictation, advanced printing/scanning solutions and our in-house Case Management System, Partner 4 Windows.
Partner 4 Windows primarily uses a Microsoft SQL database so the successful applicant will gain useful experience in the usage of SQL and database handling as well as supporting a broad range of products.
The successful applicant will find themselves resolving support calls, with more complex programming issues being passed onto our software provider. There is also a possibility of performing staff training and getting involved with ongoing development.
Ideally, the successful applicant should have be a good IT “all-rounder” with a working knowledge of SQL. In addition they should be familiar with the Microsoft Office applications and PC setup & configuration in a Microsoft Network environment. An ability to train others is desirable.
GCSEs A-C in English and Mathematics
A – Levels or equivalent would be an advantage particularly in mathematics, computing or similar IT based discipline.
Further IT based qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.
An interest in SQL (Structured Query Language) or Programming concepts an understanding of SQL or coding structure would be an advantage.
Some experience in a customer facing role where you have used your conversational skills communicate with the customer via the phone or face to face.
You should have a good understanding of, and be able to train on, all of the core Microsoft desktop products Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of other Microsoft products would be an advantage.
Preferably educated to degree level
At least 1 years’ experience in an IT Environment either as part of a placement year or as a previous role.
The successful person should be able to work well in a team as well as have a good phone manner, customer facing skills and ability to solve issues are all essential for this role. This is a ‘hands on’ role, which will include the configuration and installation of PC’s and other IT based equipment.
The hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.
