The opportunity
We are recruiting two IT Trainers to set up a new training team at KWM. The IT Trainers will provide excellent IT Training services for all core applications within the EUME.
Key responsibilities:
Training courses
Running a range of customer facing training courses including 1-1, classroom, presentations, and live online courses.
Creating courses by working closely with stakeholders.Using the latest training methods and tools.
Running train the trainer sessions with your colleagues.
Produce support material
Physical documents such as desk drops, booklets, posters etc.
Online material such as Intranet pages, documents, interactive guides etc.
Video such as customer interviews, onscreen demonstrations etc
Manage training projects
Work with project manager and stake holders to manage IT Training relating to a project through the entire life cycle.
Responsible for all aspects of IT Training including needs analysis, course and support material design and train the trainer.
Evaluate training
Evaluate training requirements.
Analyse training solutions and provide recommendations.
Course administration.
Scheduling courses.
Second line application support
To provide training support to our customers when calls are escalated from the IT Service Desk.
First line support (Ad Hoc)
Everyone in the IT department is expected to help step in to help take calls during particularly busy periods to ensure good customer service.
Skills/ Knowledge required
This is customer facing role.You’ll need to be able to work with a range of people all the way up to partner level. Good communication skills are essential.
Technically knowledgeable in all core systems.Not only will you be training you will also be expected to problem solve.
You will be responsible to manage your own IT Training projects.You will need to be able to manage your own time effectively and work closely with members of the IT department and key stakeholders within the firm.
There is a requirement for you to be curious. To be excited about new technology and training methods to move the department forward.
Essential skills/knowledge:
Classroom training experience.
Live online training experience.
Advanced level of Microsoft Office 2013/2016.
Desirable skills/knowledge:
Document management experience (iManage).
Law firm software experience (preferably document comparison, pdf editing, time recording, dictation, extranets, client management systems).
Remote access experience (such as Citrix, VDI and mobile solutions).
Microsoft Office Specialist.
Image manipulation experience (preferably with Adobe Photoshop).
Video editing experience (preferably with Adobe Premier or After Effects).
Screen recording experience (such as Adobe Captive, Office Mix, Storyline etc).
Video filming experience.
Professional documentation experience (preferably with Adobe InDesign)
Interactive classroom experience (using iPads or phones to enhance classroom sessions, using interactive quizzes etc).
Education/ Experience
Trainer accreditation (TAP, TPMA, MCT, COLF, CDOL etc).
At least 2 years working as an IT Trainer in a professional services firm, ideally in a global law firm.
Days/hours: Monday – Friday; 35 hours a week. Post holders but may be required to work slightly different hours when required by the business.
Very occasionally the post holders will be expected to travel to our European/Middle Offices to help roll out a new system/project.
