The Land Registry has just sent us this latest status report…

The Business Gateway development is continuing to make good progress as we head towards the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planned for later this month (May 2009) and Pilot from mid June till August.

The customers selected to participate in this UAT have received a Developer Pack, and have had the opportunity to give us their feedback. We are now in a position where we are able to make this information available more widely for anyone who is interested. A point to note is that this information is likely to change as we progress through the development. Development by these customers is progressing well, and we are looking forward to starting UAT shortly.

As we approach the UAT testing, we are able to confirm the following timescales:-
        ·       21st May – User Acceptance testing begins
        ·       8th June – Pilot begins
        ·       28th August – planned end of Pilot
        ·       1st September – Business Gateway go-live

If any changes to these dates occur we will provide further updates.

It is our intention to add new customers, ie customers not selected for UAT, at the Pilot phase but this is dependent on the successful migration from UAT to pilot as these are two separate systems and as such will have to be carefully managed. Pilot will be the first opportunity we have of testing the Business Gateway’s interface with our back-end systems and processes. As such, we will have to review the pilot results and decide when we feel is a suitable time to add to it. We will phase in new users to ensure that we are confident of the take-up process that we have put in place.

At the technical workshop in February it was agreed that a further workshop may be desirable in the future and it is anticipated that early to mid August would be a suitable time to hold the next progress meeting. This would give us the opportunity to share our findings from the development and pilot with you. Further details will be circulated closer to the time.

We are now able to issue the developer pack more widely. Please contact the Channel Partners team at channel.partners@landregistry.gsi.gov.uk  to request a copy of the current version of the Developer Pack, or if you have any further questions.
