A new opportunity has arisen with our International Law Firm client who is looking to recruit a highly experienced Applications Manager for the London offices.

The role of Applications Manager is a key senior role to manage regional technical teams in implementing, supporting, and maintaining the portfolio of enterprise applications, database systems and all development.

This role would require the candidate to have experience in a SharePoint environment, ideally SharePoint 2013 and also experience with Document Management systems such as Filesite.

The position is responsible for personnel management, project leadership, architectural focus and operational support efforts for Application Analysts, Database Administrators and Developers. Primary systems and Microsoft SQL databases include Document Management System (DMS), Elite financial and practice management, enterprise HR systems solutions, and Customer Relationship Management systems. Also, for SharePoint 2013, business analysis and the delivery of programming development to deliver solutions to the business.

Essential Experience & Skills:

** Expert in network server infrastructure, database design and implementation life cycle, methodologies, tools and practices. Managing desktop, and supporting enterprise software application environments and databases.
** 5 years successfully managing technical teams, enterprise database infrastructures, server operating systems, general network operations environments with at least 5 direct and indirect reports exclusive of contractors/ consultants in a multi-site user LAN/WAN environment.
** 5 years proven management experience. Large law firm or professional services experience preferred including 3 years hands-on project management experience.

Typical Responsibilities of the role:

** Accountable for developing and prioritising regional application portfolio, database systems and development roadmap; work closely with stakeholders, direct reports, and the IT Director (UKMEA).
** Contribute towards the development of the overall strategic methodology and best practice guidelines for administering and maintaining the regional application portfolio, database systems and development such as Document Management, Elite financial and practice management, CRM, in order to support the firm’s needs.
** Provide technical oversight for developing database storage structure (data warehouse), primary objects, data maps, scripts and reporting in concert with regional requirements and global standards.
** Manages, leads and develops team of Applications Analysts, Database Administrators and Developers in a distributed and centralised computing architecture. Provide technical leadership with ability to effectively translate business and user requirements to technical solutions.
