Our client is a long established internationally recognised Law Firm based in the heart of Central London and with a team of Lawyers who assist in both commercial and private client Law.

The company due to continued success and growth is looking to recruit a Service Desk Support Analyst who will play a key part within the IT service desk team. As a Service Desk Analyst you will be involved in both 1st Line Support and 2nd Line Support.

You as a Service Desk Analyst will be involved in the following duties:

First line logging and answering a full range of service desk calls including queries on:
Hardware including, without limitation PC’s, laptops, netbooks, printers, Blackberries and other mobile devices, projectors etc.
Software including the Microsoft 2010 Office suite, MatterSphere, the Aderant PMS, Bighand, Adobe, Laserforms and any other software packages/ systems used by the firm.
Reimaging and preparing PCs/laptops for new starters and supplying equipment to users as required.

Second line support of services such as email, mobile communications, telephony, digital dictation, Citrix and remote working; Methodically troubleshooting, diagnosing and testing sometimes complex issues raised in relation to all hardware and software and escalating calls where necessary to third line or third party suppliers where appropriate.
Updating and maintaining the IT service desk system, prioritising and following-up calls, and ensuring that users are supported in a timely and effective manner (within the parameters agreed from time to time with 3rd line, and 3rd party support), providing admin and ad-hoc support as directed.

Ideally you should have at least 3-5 years experience in both 1st and 2nd line support roles in a Law Firm or professional services environment. Good knowledge of how a Law Firm IT department operates, would be beneficial as well as an understanding of Legal IT applications such as Case Management systems would also be useful.
