Legal IT Newswire: Simonsen Vogt Wiig Teams Up with Sysero and PSA Consulting to Automate Risk-Based Client Onboarding
Sysero, provider of legal automation solutions, today announced that its long-time client, Norway-based law firm Simonsen Vogt Wiig, has selected Sysero to host its Know-Your-Client process to automate and streamline its client onboarding and clearance processes.
Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Money Laundering Act continues to be a key concern for the modern law firm, and firms must ensure they follow appropriate compliance procedures. At the same time, they are tasked with driving greater efficiency in the client onboarding process.
Simonsen Vogt Wiig’s new digital onboarding solution, developed in partnership with Sysero’s Nordic implementation partner PSA Consulting, will leverage cloud-based workflow automation tools to enable manual intake processes to be fully automated and managed, reducing acceptance time and compliance risk. The new client onboarding workflow will include a client scoring system that will formalise the evaluation of new business opportunities based on a pre-defined set of rules determined by the firm’s priorities, including professional risk, terms alignment and GDPR compliance. A risk profile will be created for each new client, allowing the firm to escalate high-risk clients for further review.
“By automating what previously were manual processes, our new digital client onboarding solution will help us streamline client acceptance, while also ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant local laws and regulations,” says Peter Van Dam, Chief Digital Officer at Simonsen Vogt Wiig. “Furthermore, using Sysero to host our Know-Your-Client process provides seamless integration with our internal solutions using the Custodian iPaas, enabling us to cover the entire onboarding process, from taking in a new client or case and guiding them through information gathering to automatically storing relevant documentation in our document management system.”
The new solution will be will implemented, managed and supported by PSA Consulting, which is based in Oslo, Norway.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our relationship with Simonsen Vogt Wiig and PSA Consulting,” says Phil Ayton, Director of Sysero. “Simonsen Vogt Wiig has always been forward-thinking in its use of technology, and we’re thrilled to partner with PSA Consulting to help them further improve their working practices using Sysero’s technology.”
