Legal IT Newswire: Specialist software company Iken launches innovative cloud solution
15th October 2019, Bristol, UK Bristol-based software company, Iken, have announced the arrival of a new cloud-hosted product, alongside significant upgrades to their existing on-premise desktop offering. The launch of Iken Cloud and the development of Iken Desktop is testament to the company’s desire to cater for all customers, regardless of their IT strategy.
Iken’s user-led approach – finetuned over 25 years in the specialist software space – led to the decision, which allows customers to select technology that best fits their business needs; both now and in the future.
Tanya Corsie, Iken CEO, explained: “By developing Iken Cloud, we can support customers who are working through Microsoft Office 365 or the Google G Suite and require secure remote access to caseloads. Our commitment to and continuous expansion of the Iken Desktop, in particular the client portal, means that those who prefer an on- premise solution continue to benefit from new features and functionality. It’s a win-win.”
Andrew Chester, Iken Founder, Executive Chairman and CTO added: “The announcement of a brand-new cloud product and our continuing commitment to desktop is reflective of Iken’s founding principle: ‘Know what matters’. Both solutions ensure that no organisation is left behind and that all are empowered to digitise at an appropriate pace.”
Iken’s investment in a broad product portfolio reflects a growing awareness that on-premise solutions are here to stay, despite the Government’s Cloud First policy, which encourages the public sector to prioritise cloud products when making technology purchases.
But with pragmatic approaches like that employed by Iken, which account for user feedback in product roadmaps, the evolving needs of the public and private sectors will continue to be accounted for. Meanwhile, Iken’s highly commended training and consultancy will ensure that their functionally rich suite is always leveraged to optimise performance and improve client care.
