LiliConnect, the women in legal networking group, just announced that Esther McVey, the MP for Wirral West, will be the speaker at their next event which takes place in London on Wednesday 6th February 2013. The topic will be Inspiring the next generation of girls and female leaders.
Esther McVey is no stranger to the legal world as she graduated in law before joining the BBC as a graduate trainee. A successful business woman in her own right, Esther wrote a publication called If Chloe Can which set out to tell the stories of successful women in order to inspire young women to aim high in their careers. The idea was subsequently turned into a play which has been instrumental in inspiring young women towards business careers. LiliConnect are expecting a large turnout to this exceptional evening, so early registration is advised.
LiliConnect is open to women who work within legal firms or in-house legal departments and provides a forum for women to network over a glass of wine while benefiting from hearing inspirational speakers. The LiliConnect events have been running for two years and the formula of blending fun networking with excellent speakers has proven to be a powerful one.
The event will be on Wednesday 6th February starting at 6pm at The Hilton London Tower Bridge Hotel and is being sponsored by Aderant. Anyone wishing to attend should register by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The events are free to attend, although attendees are encouraged to purchase a raffle ticket with all takings going to charity. For more details visit www.liliconnect.com/index.php?id=104
