Here’s another legalit recruitment story featuring what must be the coolest job-title going… Litéra has just recruited Sherry Kappel to its expanding management team. Kappel is an acknowledged content lifecycle authority and is taking the role of Chief Consiliaria* – Latin for trusted advisor or counselor.
Kappel will lead and oversee all global consulting efforts at Litéra, including strategic advisory services, industry outreach, and client advocacy. With nearly 30 years of legal and document-centric technology experience, Kappel has either led or been directly involved in product management, research and development, client support, and global strategic consulting efforts at Microsystems, where she most recently served as Chief Innovation Officer.
“Some of the world’s largest law firms and corporations rely on Litéra as a strategic partner and trusted advisor. We are very pleased to welcome Sherry to the Litéra family,” said Karen Massand, president of Litéra. “Sherry will complement our expertise in collaboration, professional productivity, content security and risk mitigation, and her expertise will be of tremendous value to all of the industries we serve.”
“I am honored to become part of the leadership team at Litéra,” said Kappel. “The company has a strong history of delivering value quickly to the legal and corporate markets, and Litéra’s portfolio of content lifecycle management software is proven time and again to increase productivity and efficiency, and reduce risk enterprise-wide. I’m especially enthusiastic about Litéra IDS, the professional-grade document collaboration product Litéra recently launched. It’s a true game-changer for how professionals co-author.”
* That’s consiliaria not to be confused with consigliere which was Robert Duvall’s role in the movie The Godfather.
