An exciting opportunity has arisen in our IT department for a Litigation Support Analyst.
This is an opportunity to develop further an existing role within Bird & Bird. The successful candidate will be instrumental in taking this this role forward and should therefore demonstrate the motivation and flexibility needed to do this. It would suit someone with several years’ experience of administering and operating electronic document processing and review tools within a litigation support team, who now wishes to take on more responsibility.
The Litigation Support Analyst is responsible for operating our in-house electronic document facility. The successful candidate will support our litigation and investigations lawyers and paralegals, in the UK and internationally, in processing and handling collections of documents (especially in native and other electronic form) received from clients and other sources. This is a hands-on role, involving direct liaison with our litigation and investigations lawyers. It will include the processing and loading of native electronic document collections to enable them to be accessed by the legal teams; managing and supporting disclosure projects (including e-disclosure) using litigation support databases, interpreting requirements, advising the legal teams on appropriate solutions, processing and maintaining databases.
The role will be actively involved in working with legal teams on documenting business processes, evaluating applications and solutions, producing best practice guidelines and documentation, and developing client-facing materials in conjunction with our legal and Marketing teams.
The successful candidate will operate our internal processing facility, and also where appropriate liaise closely with external providers for database creation, hosting and other services. This role will be expected to deliver appropriate training to the Legal and Technical teams on applications used and proactively promote the use of cost-effective litigation support and e-disclosure tools.
In addition you will contribute positively to the development of the team by sharing knowledge and coaching on best practice approaches in line with the sector strategy.
