Skills Required:

*At least 5 years of .Net, VB/C#, general web development
*Extensive Insurance sector experience and detailed technical knowledge of Claims management systems.
*Experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and AJAX
Microsoft Office macro/template development experience using VBA and VSTO
*At least 2 years Qlikview systems integration and front end development experience.
*Experience managing and supporting MS SQL 2000/2005/2008 integration

Desired Skills (not essential)

*Sharepoint web part development experience
*Web services eg SOAP, REST, JSON, XML
*RAILS, HTML5

Responsibilities:

*General web development creating new applications, websites and intranet sites.
Support and maintenance of existing applications including updates, structural changes and migration to new platforms
*Systems and development management of the firms insurance database(s) and reporting tools
*Project scoping including task assessment, communicating systems integration considerations and project task timings
*Support – As the subject matter expert for insurance systems, the point of contact for the Service Desk for escalated incidents (including web based applications). Managing an individual and collective team call queue ensuring incidents are dealt with within the agreed SLA’s. Escalating where appropriate
*Event Management – Proactive monitoring of systems during change/implementation. Resolve any alerts that may be flagged as a result of the monitoring, escalating where required.
*Documentation – Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets. Maintain daily checklists ensuring they are up to date and relevant
Submitting change requests for approval for development changes to all live systems adhering to the department change management process
