There are challenges around cost, security and also team management – Evergreen doesn’t require the same attention as on-premise systems and new skills and approaches are needed.
There are countless cloud migration programmes in flight. Vendors worldwide are not leaving much choice about whether to migrate. Despite the mandated path, the clever firms will have considered the wider impact way before starting. Others still need to retrospectively consider the impact of Evergreen systems and solutions on the IT team and wider firm.
