It's win one, lose one for Axxia today. After just ousting SOS at Scottish firm Aberdein Considine earlier today, now we have Edinburgh-based Pilgrim Systems announcing that London law firm Kerman & Co has selected Pilgrim's LawSoft as its next generation practice management system to replace its legacy LexisNexis Axxia system.
Having decided to migrate from Axxia, the firm embarked on a review of the legal IT marketplace. Having outgrown its legacy system the firm said it wanted a product and supplier that was committed to the legal profession. Interestingly, the firm also took the opportunity to replace its Autonomy iManage document management system with LawSoft’s DMS module.
Managing partner Daniel O’Connell said “We want to develop a relationship with a supplier that will stand us in good stead for the future. We feel we have found that supplier in Pilgrim and believe that LawSoft is the best consolidated solution on the market. We have aggressive growth plans here at Kerman & Co. We had to select a technology that supports our plans and will be easy for new team members to pick-up when they join the firm.”
