Project Manager London 12-24 mths FTC
Our client is a top tier international law firm about to undergo a major programme of change within their legal finance system department. the firm is now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, management and delivery of the upgrade of their new Practice Management System. This is a fixed term opportunity to last the duration of the project (* estimated to be between 12-24 months)
Key responsibilities will include:
Development and maintenance of project timelines and resource/cost plans at various levels of detail
Managing the deliverables of the project, and ensure that thew project team is effectively and efficiently utilised
Management of the morale, motivation, objectives and performance of all project team members
Defining and documenting the project approach and plan for delivery, detailing deliverables and measures of success
Ensuring resources and key stakeholders are managed effectively
Ensuring risk is assessed and monitored on an ongoing basis and issues are escalated effectively and managed to resolution
Escalation of any project level interdependencies across the programme to the Programme Manager
Working closely with the Programme Manager, PMO and other project managers to ensure that their project are managed and will meet the programme level timelines, quality standards and reporting requirements
Being the primary point of day-to-day contact with Supplier Consulting teams and ensuring good communications are in place between the various teams
Reporting and communicating progress against plan and issues to the PMO, project team, sponsors and stakeholders, and
Updating the firms programmes management office with details of progress and issues.
Skills & Experience
Educated to degree level and/or relevant professional practitioner level qualifications (P3O, MoP, MSP, PMI PMP, APMP, PRINCE2) and practical programme / project delivery experience;
Significant experience of managing a programme level PMO function in a global organisation in excess of £1m
Has worked and maintained working relationship at all levels of seniority from executive to project team member and supplier representatives;
Experience of successfully delivering business change projects across global organisations in the professional services / legal sector.
Experience of project and programme management, leading large, multidisciplinary project teams involving internal and external resources across multiple locations;
Expert knowledge and practical experience of project, programme and business change management methodologies and tools.
Experience of coaching, mentoring and leading a high performing team.
