QA Manager, Located in Aldershot or Fareham, Salary to £45,000
*Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a similar QA/BA environment with management or supervisory experience.
*Understanding of industry best practice in QA and TA.
*Sound knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office.
*Some exposure to relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
*Logical and methodical approach to work.
*Ability to plan and control own work.
*Desire to achieve high standards.
*Experience of testing commercial software.
*Exposure to load and/or regression testing methods
To take the lead role in all aspects of testing and documentation of software products. This is a management role but it will also involve significant levels of hands on testing and documentation. Your groups remit is to deliver software tested and documented to the highest possible standards and to enhance the quality and perception of testing and documentation both internally and externally.
*To manage a team of Quality Assurance and Technical Authors.
*To agree with the Head of Development, Product managers and Senior Developers testing, documentation and release schedules for all group software.
*To ensure that all group IP has appropriate, documented test plans and they are executed before release.
*To ensure that all group IP has appropriate release guides, manuals and other agreed documentation on release.
*To assist with the hands-on testing of all software in order to achieve the highest possible standards of quality.
*To assist with the management of fault tracking from Investigation through to resolution.
*To assist with the construction of automated regression test scripts and with the development of test plans.
*To assist with the production of technical documentation.
*To assist in the development of new procedures to improve efficiency and quality of software testing.
*To assist with the release cycle of new versions.
*To visit customers or attend user group meetings as and when the need arises.
*To assist with third line support.
