Rocket Lawyer Unveils ‘Ask a Lawyer’ Feature

Online legal document provider Rocket Lawyer has unveiled a new ‘Ask a Lawyer’ service that enables customers to submit questions to a network of solicitors for a reduced fee. The San Francisco-headquartered company says that its new Q&A system will mean that customers who need professional help to customise their document will be given access to a vetted lawyer within one business day.
Customers can select the area of law they need help with and the region they are in. So far, Rocket Lawyer’s UK website provides access to lawyers from 15 law firms, including 36-partner top-150 firm Stephensons; 13-partner Cardiff-headquartered firm Berry Smith; 10-partner national practice Colemans-ctts and 10-partner Manchester firm Glaisyers Solicitors.
For each area of law and region, customers are provided a short profile of the lawyers available, their usual rate and the reduced fee available through Rocket Lawyer. Rocket Lawyer has said that its solicitors are also available for customers who have more complex business needs or legal issues, such as resolving disputes, arbitrating business deals, or advising if a matter should proceed to litigation.
Rocket Lawyer founder and chief executive Charley Moore said “Weknow that navigating the legal system can be complex, so our aim is to remove any anxiety and guesswork surrounding it. Whether you’re developing documents for your small business or creating your estate plan, these documents are just too important to leave questions unanswered.”
