Our client is a leading global supplier of information and information technology to the legal and professional services sectors. The company is part of a major global publishing company and is going through a period of continuing expansion.

As part of their desire to provide the best possible service to their clients, the company is now seeking a Business Analyst Manager to work in its division providing content to the legal sector. The post-holder will play a crucial role in looking at current procedures and look at ways of providing innovative new approaches to the Content Solutions team.

The key responsibilities will include:
Develop and communicate a vision and roadmap for the Solutions Landscape that meets the Business’ needs, both immediate and strategic.
Map out a strategy for the on-going development of team skills and ensuring they are formulated and implemented, with measurable results.
Ensure a working environment (encompassing both tools & behaviours) is provided to support the application of best practice within the team.
Through direct review, the quality and consistency of Analysis Artefacts is ensured to be in alignment with Architectural Principles and Policies.
Lead, manage, mentor and motivate the team to support the achievement of personal, team and business goals.
Ensure the team is effectively resourced, leading the recruitment of contract and permanent staff as necessary.
Provide a positive profile of the Analysis Team and Content Solutions, to ensure the value that they bring to the business is recognised.

Qualifications
A strong background within the content provision arena.
Experience of managing, leading, mentoring and motivating a high achieving team
Ability to build team spirit and promote individual work ethic by setting out the aims and context of all activities undertaken.
Ability to identify, appreciate, nurture and develop talent, facilitating personal development for the benefit of the individual and the team.
Demonstrable, extensive knowledge and experience of analysis and design methodologies, techniques and artefacts (OOAD, UML) applied to the analysis of business objectives, needs and issues, systems and workflows, in a business change context.
Experience of leading a programme of continuous improvement, propagating best practice.
Ability to identify, appreciate, nurture and develop talent, facilitating personal development for the benefit of the individual and the team.
Able to very quickly cultivate trust and establish credibility
Strong facilitation and influencing skills – able to work with large groups of people (of varying levels of seniority
The ability to take a step back and see the bigger picture
