Our client is a leading international law firm with a truly international presence. The firm has recently gone through a period of rapid expansion and is now seeking a Senior Developer to join their highly professional ICT department based in the City of London.

The postholder will be responsible for the development, testing, support and maintenance of the firms IT applications including intra and extranets and custom developed solutions.
The main responsibilities will be:
Manage projects through the full development life cycle including understanding the needs of the clients, making recommendations, designing, developing, testing and implementing solutions
Understand the needs of the client to deliver quality applications
Design, develop and deploy solutions to meet the needs of the client
Research and learn new technologies
Determine how best to create and map functionality, feedback and lessons learned from our previous platform to our new platform
Create, enhance, troubleshoot, support and train on our client-facing Extranet systems
Project manage Intranet, Extranet and other development work, including determining priorities, requirements, timescales, tasks and management of client relationships
Provide development and design assistance to other user levels and internally to the IT department
Work with external firms and consultants on the development and design of applications
Provide training to clients and to the IT Service Desk, as and when required
Adhere to the firm’s IT Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 processes and procedures
Adhere to the firm’s IT Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 27001 processes and procedures

Technical Skills
Proven experience of full project lifecycle
Proven experience of the following:
.NET development with Visual Studio
Relational database design using Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL syntax
Other web-related technologies such as ASP.NET, XML, XSL, JavaScript/JQuery, and web services
Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010/2012
ASP.NET 2.0, 3.5, 4.5
SharePoint 2007/2010

Proven experience with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2010 and above and related technologies including InfoPath, Windows Workflow Foundation, SQL Reporting Services and AJAX.

Advanced knowledge of business process analysis and development
Advanced application architecture, approach, planning and design skills
Experience with Business Process/Workflow tools (e.g. K2) is an advantage
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
