Our client is is one of the UK’s leading firms of accountants and business advisors, which specialises in advising the management of developing private and public businesses who have more than 1,300 partners and staff operating from 25 offices around the country. They are now looking to recruit a Senior IT Support Technician who will work in the IT department that employs over 25 staff based in the London office. The department is responsible for the provision of all I.T. services, including development and support.

The firm is looking for an individual that may be working within a Legal Tech or Professional Services environment.

The role involves providing a high quality of advice, help and support to users, both deskside and remote. The use of Citrix enables a comprehensive level of support to be provided remotely. A typical day is varied, and the mix of responsibilities is continually changing as new projects are undertaken. There will be regular travel to regional offices across the UK.

In addition this senior role has a particular emphasis on involvement with projects, taking new systems from evaluation through to full adoption. There will also be specific responsibilities assigned to the role in areas such as scripting, templates, automation etc. There will be involvement in evaluating new software, running trials, testing new software and updates, managing the release cycle, and ensuring users are properly trained.

The successful candidate will also be expected to train and assist junior staff.

The successful candidate will require an enthusiasm to learn new systems and technologies, and have excellent customer service skills.
Must be willing to work anti social hours when required, and/or travel to other offices.

Candidates must have at least one of the following:

Experience of working in legal, accountancy or a closely related sector.
Experience of Autonomy iManage
Experience of supporting Caseware
Experience in a 100% Citrix full desktop environment
