Senior SharePoint Intranet Developer, Law Firm, London to £70k
Our client is a leading international law firm with offices across Europe and the Far East. The firm has an excellent reputation and is going through a period of continuing expansion. It now has an opportunity for a Lead Developer to join its ICT team to focus on it SharePoint based Intranet.
The firm use SharePoint for their Intranet and this is now also the core platform for in-house developed applications. The candidate will be responsible for managing the configuration and content of the current SharePoint 2010 Intranet and progressing plans to migrate this to SharePoint 2013. This role requires someone with solid development experience as they will be required to lead and undertake application development of both SharePoint web applications and C# .Net Enterprise COM Add-ins. A thorough understanding of both SharePoint infrastructur/information architecture (min 2010) is required and the ability to translate business requirements into functional design. This is an opportunity to take ownership of this key technology within the firm and develop valued solutions to meet business needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Development of applications and information architecture
Defining, documenting and enforcing standards and methodologies for internally developed applications
Leading and participating in development of solutions
Managing and developing the firms SharePoint infrastructure
Responsibility for the SharePoint intranet functional design and operation
Line management of staff reporting to the role.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Five years plus experience on development and programming design and system management
Proven experience in overseeing the development and implementation of software solutions
Technical skills in> .net (VB, C#, ASP), Web services ( XML, XSLT, SOAP JSON), PowerShell, T_SQL HTML and CSS
Strong SharePoint 2010 experience
SQL Database design
Good project management experience and formal project methodologies ( Prince2)
Strong technical documentation skills
Experience of architectural frameworks will be of benefit
In addition, you will need excellent communication and team leading skills
