Something for the weekend: a boy named Miranda
Up to Edinburgh last Monday for Pilgrim Systems' annual LawSoft User Conference at the Carlton Hotel. Excellent, well-organised and thoroughly enjoyable event culminating in dinner that evening when barrister-turned caterer and TV presenter Clarissa Dickson Wright gave a talk about her life. Some fascinating anecdotes – including why former UK prime minister Tony Blair used to be called Miranda when he was a barrister – unfortunately if I were retell them here, I would be super-injuncted and sued out of existence.
Instead, here is a cartoon by Tom Fishburne which sums up how a lot of law firms seem to view social media.
