A technical role exists to join the SOS Development Team as a Data Conversion Developer, undertaking data transfer projects as part our clients migrating from the their legacy software onto new SOS software.

Data volume typically runs into many gigabytes of financial, personal, case and legal data, and can come from a variety of different data sources including SQL server databases, Progress databases, Microsoft Access databases, CSV files and textual reports.

The main purpose of the role is to produce very high quality SOS databases containing all required data from the clients’ original systems, and conforming to all required SOS data integrity rules, often to tight timescales. This work makes use of an existing data migration toolset, which is constantly evolving and improving and the role would also encompass the development of these migration tools.
